Device Installation Agreement

Version 2026-10-draft-1

Draft — for owner and legal review before operational use. This document has not been reviewed by an attorney and is not yet in effect. Items in [brackets] must be completed by Sterling Security.

This agreement covers the installation visit for Sterling Lake equipment and is signed by the Host and the installing technician at the time of installation.

1. Before the visit

  • Sterling Security will confirm the date and time through the Host's dashboard and email.
  • Identity verification must be complete before installation. If verification is done in person, the Host presents a government-issued photo ID to the technician, who records only that verification was completed. The technician will not photograph, copy or record the ID number.

2. What is installed

  • Two monitoring equipment boxes in locked enclosures, each with an ESP32-based controller, plus mounting hardware and any required sensors or cables.
  • The technician records each box's identifier and mounting location.

3. Locations and methods

The Host and technician agree on mounting locations before installation. [Describe permitted mounting methods, e.g. clamps or screws into dock posts, and any restrictions.] The technician will not make structural modifications without the Host's explicit approval.

4. Network setup

The technician connects at least one box to the Host's Wi-Fi using authorized installation equipment. The Host may enter the Wi-Fi password directly on the technician's provisioning device; it is not written down or sent to Sterling Security's website.

5. Testing and handover

After installation the technician confirms each box can reach Sterling Security's servers. The installation appears in the Host's dashboard, where connection status is shown from real device check-ins.

6. Condition of property

The technician will leave the area clean and note any pre-existing damage before work begins. [Counsel to add process for reporting installation-related damage.]

7. Signatures

[Host name, technician name, date, installation address, device identifiers.]
