Sterling SecurityConnected protection

A Sterling Security project

Our technology

What Sterling Lake equipment is, how it connects, and which measurements are working today.

Measurements marked Upcoming are planned and not yet captured. Measurements marked Prototype work on prototype hardware and are still being validated.
Prototype

Water temperature monitoring

Temperature probes connected to our ESP32-based monitoring boxes.

Upcoming

Environmental water quality

Additional water-quality sensing, added only after each sensor is validated.

Wireless monitoring stations

Shoreline stations that report to our servers through a host's Wi-Fi network.

Upcoming

Shore and dock equipment

Locked enclosures mounted on docks and shorelines.

Upcoming

Solar-powered buoys

Floating stations that run on solar power away from shore.

Upcoming

Depth mapping

Lake and underwater depth mapping.

Upcoming

Survey boats

Boat-mounted equipment for collecting survey data.

Upcoming

Visualization and reporting

Charts and reports built from collected data.

Host installation hardware

Every host installation follows the same pattern.

  • Two separate monitoring equipment boxes, each with an ESP32-based controller.
  • At least one box connects to the host's existing Wi-Fi network. Our technician configures Wi-Fi on site with authorized installation equipment — we never ask for your Wi-Fi password online.
  • All equipment is secured in locked enclosures and remains Sterling Security property.
  • Each box authenticates to our servers with its own credential, and its connection status comes only from real check-ins.
